What actually earns a ranking now
Content quality outweighs keyword placement
A perfectly optimized title tag won't save thin content. Google's ranking systems increasingly weigh E-E-A-T - Experience, Expertise, Authority, and Trustworthiness - over how many times a keyword appears.
Keyword density, not stuffing
A natural guideline is roughly 0.5-2% - one or two mentions per 100 words. Beyond that, semantic variation (related terms a real expert would use) matters more than repeating the exact phrase.
Entity-rich depth
A serious page on a topic naturally covers the related concepts, tools, and terms an expert would mention - that topical completeness signals credibility more than any single keyword placement.
One page, one purpose
Pages built around mixed or unclear intent tend to get rewritten by Google or simply underperform - clarity about what the page is for helps both rankings and readers.
